<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unnecessary moderation feeling from being imparted when an operation member is return-moved. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A moderation piece 19 moves while contacting with a going path face 12 by a spring force of a moderation spring 18, when a driver operates a lever from a neutral position to a downward rotation position. The moderation piece 19 is advanced and retreated therein along a moderation part 14 of the going path face 12 in the midway of an operation of the lever, and the moderation feeling is thereby imparted to the operation of the lever. The moderation piece 19 is brought from a state contacting with the going path face 12 into a contacting state with a returning face 11, by the operation force of the lever, based on the lever operation of the driver from the neutral position to the downward rotation position, and the returning face 11 returns the lever from the downward rotation position to the neutral position, by the spring force of the moderation spring 18, when releasing the lever 4 from a hand, under the condition where the driver operates the lever to the downward rotation position. The unnecessary moderation feeling is prevented from being imparted when the driver of a vehicle touches the lever by a finger or hand at the time of self-return-moving the lever to the neutral position, because the moderation part is not provided in the returning face 11.
