PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sustain and exhibit a predetermined clamp force even if a pilot check valve or an accumulator in a cylinder operation circuit is defective, in a clamp control device used for a clamp device installed on a load handling vehicle such as a forklift truck for gripping an article such as a paper roll. SOLUTION: This clamp control device includes a clamp cylinder 2 for opening and closing a pair of clamp arms, the cylinder operation circuit 3 for extending and retracting a clamp cylinder 2 by supplying and discharging pressure oil to and from the clamp cylinder, and particularly a pressure oil supplementing circuit 4 for returning the pressure of the pressure oil in the clamp chamber 5 of the clamp cylinder 2 to a predetermined pressure when the pressure of the pressure oil is lowered than the predetermined pressure by automatically supplementing pressure oil into the clamp chamber.
