<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video camera supporting unit capable of incorporating a handy version video camera into a studio adapter by easy work in a short time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The video camera supporting unit for the studio adapter includes a fixed member on which the handy version video camera is laid, a connector for connecting the handy version video camera to an external device, and a movable member capable of performing linear movement/displacement in relation to the fixed member. Moreover, the movable member includes a first movable member and a second movable member. The first movable member includes a turnable portion having an eccentricity cam, a concave lock portion, and a lever member on the same axis, and capable of rotating around a supporting point. The second movable member attached with the connector carries out linear movement/displacement to the first movable member by the rotation of the eccentricity cam, and gives thrust to the handy version video camera at a position where the camera is moved and displaced.
