<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head outputting high hitting sounds satisfactory to a golfer even if the volume of the golf club head having a hollow structure is increased to 400 cc or larger. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club head 1 with the hollow structure includes a face portion 2, a side portion 3, a sole portion 4, a crown portion 5 and a hosel portion 9. The crown portion 5 includes a thick-wall region 6 and a thin-wall region 8. The thick-wall region 6 of the crown portion is extended from the center axis C of a shaft insertion hole of the hosel portion 5 toward the top apex T of the crown portion at least 20 mm in the distance W<SB>A</SB>, and extended from the center axis C of the shaft insertion hole of the hosel portion 5 toward the back side of the side portion at least 30 mm in the distance W<SB>B</SB>so that the primary natural frequency of the crown portion 5 is at least 3,000 Hz. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
