METHOD FOR SCREENING DRUG FOR IMPROVING PROGNOSIS OF BRAIN INJURY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound capable of inhibiting tissue damage stemming from brain's local inflammation and of improving the prognosis, and to provide a method for screening such a compound.

SOLUTION: The use of a pharmaceutical composition containing, as active ingredient, a hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase(H-PGDS) inhibitor is provided. Further, a compound having the above medicinal efficacy may be easily screened using a transgenic mouse where a human hematopoietic prostaglandin D synthase is expressed at high levels.
