<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor in which an armature core is reliably fixed to a shaft, and a magnetic field is efficiently generated while securing mechanical strength after reducing the production cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The armature core 6 is divided by a core body 30, and a plurality of teeth 31 which are provided separately at the core body 30 and extend along the radial direction from the core body 30. The teeth 31 are constituted by pressurizing and molding soft magnetic powers. The core body 30 includes: a ring part 51 constituted by pressurizing and molding the soft magnetic powders; and a first laminated iron core part 53 formed by laminating a plurality of magnetic steel sheets to one another, and having a press-fit hole 52 into which the shaft is press fitted. On the inner peripheral surface of the ring part 51, a rotation preventive portion 57 protruding to the inside in the radial direction from the inner peripheral surface is formed along the peripheral direction while a projection press-fitted and fixed to the rotation preventive portion 57 is formed at the first laminated iron core part 53.
