PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver particulate dispersion which disperses particulates with a small average particle diameter therein, has adequate dispersibility, dispersion stability, high-concentration dispersibility and the like, and shows electroconductivity when having been heated at low temperature, and to provide a silver particulate dispersion liquid which is prepared by replacing the dispersion medium of the silver particulate dispersion with another dispersion medium. SOLUTION: The method for producing the silver particulate dispersion is a method of producing the dispersion in which particulates of silver or the like are dispersed in a liquid having a low vapor pressure in such a state that the volume distribution median diameter (D50) is 100 nm or less, by bringing a gas of silver or the like in contact with the liquid having the low vapor pressure, and includes previously dissolving a fatty acid ester of polyoxyethylene sorbitol in the liquid having the low vapor pressure. The silver particulate dispersion is produced by the production method.
