The bearing has a circular cylindrical axial bearing washer (1) exhibiting two surfaces. Oil supply channels (5) or lubricant supply channels are arranged on two surfaces. Wedge surfaces (6) are provided between the oil supply channels in a circumferential direction. Oil discharge channels are arranged in the circumferential direction directly adjacent to the oil supply channels on two surfaces. The oil discharge channels are not communicated directly with the oil supply channels. The supply and discharge channels and the wedge surfaces are provided as negative contours in the surfaces. The axial bearing washer is manufactured by a metal injection molding method.
