OPTICAL CABLE CONNECTOR AND METHOD OF CONNECTING OPTICAL FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable connector and a method of connecting optical fibers, capable of reducing the size, the number of components and the man hour for work in a connecting work.

SOLUTION: The optical cable connector includes: a connector housing 10 having an opening 12 and an optical fiber storing hole 11 continuing from one end and the other end of the outer surface to the inner wall of the opening 12; and a nest member that can be inserted into the opening 12 formed in the connector housing 10 and constitutes a blade 23 capable of cutting an optical fiber inserted into the optical fiber storing hole 11, cutting a protrusion of the fiber into the inside of the opening 11, and an optical path connecting optical fibers inserted into the optical fiber storing holes 11 so as to transfer optical signals.
