PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve cutting performance by imparting large amplitude utilizing a resonance action to a cutting blade 3 without imparting horizontal shaking to the cutting blade 3, and to make a cutting device compact, while interposing a structure for imparting the resonance action between a vibration source and the cutting blade 3. SOLUTION: In this cutting device, the cutting blade 3 of a flat shape is mounted in a vertically elevating cutter holder 1. The cutter holder 1 includes a frame part 10 installed with a piezoelectric element 2 vibrating along a cutting direction of the cutting blade 3 so that a lower end may be a free driving surface 2A, and a cutter holding part 11 having an abutting surface 11C holding the cutting blade 3 and abutted with the free driving surface 2A of the piezoelectric element 2, and connected to a lower side of the frame part 10 via a resonance action part 12 located on a side of the piezoelectric element 2.
