<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure connection reliability with a counterpart terminal metal fitting. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The terminal metal fitting 30, 30A is provided with a cylindrical body part 33 capable of being connected with a counterpart metal fitting as well as a wire barrel 34 located further rearward than the body part 33 to be connected to the terminal end of a wire 90, whereby, the metal fitting is prevented from coming off a cavity 11, as a rear end 37 of the body part 33 is locked by a locking part 22 of a retainer 20 mounted on a connector housing 10 in a state inserted into the cavity 11 of the connector housing 10. A protruded part 40, 40A is provided between the wire barrel 34 and the body part 33, for regulating relative displacement in a back-and-forth direction against the locking part 22, as the locking part 22 is pinched between the body part 33 and the rear end 37.
