The present invention relates to a vehicular headrest, more specifically to a vehicular headrest which is capable of being instantly displaced in order to more effectively protect a passenger's head in a head-on or rear-end collision. According to the present invention, the vehicular headrest comprises: a stay which is inserted in a seat and mounted thereon and in which a bracket is installed in the center thereof; front and rear links of which the lower portions are respectively hinged with the front and rear of the bracket by front and rear lower shafts and of which the upper portions are respectively penetrated by the front and rear upper shafts; a pair of left and right lateral frames which are coupled with both ends of the front and rear upper shafts; a stationary sector gear which is installed in the front upper shaft and positioned inside the left lateral frame which is paired with the right lateral frame; a lock gear of which one side which is axially fastened on the left lateral frame below the sector gear with gear teeth that are elastically supported by a spring and the sector gear in order to be locked; a solenoid member which is installed on the rear upper shaft between the left lateral frame and the rear link in order to unlock the lock gear from a locked state; and a return spring which is installed on the front lower shaft. One side of the return spring is positioned inside the bracket and the other side thereof is positioned inside the front link. Both sides of the return spring are respectively supported by the bracket and the front link to return a main body installed in a frame to the original position. |
