<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus which can accurately switch a position of a recording head by a driving source even when a position of a main cam is finely adjusted by rotating an auxiliary adjusting cam. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The recording apparatus includes: the main cam 51 which is driven by power of the driving source and switches a distance PG between the recording head 19 and a medium to be recorded; the auxiliary adjusting cam 54 which finely adjusts the distance PG by contacting with the main cam 51 and moving the position of the main cam 51 in a direction Z wherein the recording head 19 and the medium to be recorded are opposed to each other; and a controlling means which controls the driving source, and has a correction value corresponding to fine adjustment of the distance PG by the auxiliary adjusting cam 54 to set a driving amount of the driving source on the basis of the correction value.
