The O-ring (1) has a sealing cord (2) whose cross sectional profile comprises a straight section (3) that is provided at a side of the ring and lying radially outside. The section forms an angle in the range of 4-18 degree with an axial direction (30) of the ring. Another straight section (4) is provided on an opening side of a cone formed from the former section. The projection amount of projection in a radial direction amounts to 30 percentage of diameter of cord in a radial direction. The section (4) forms an angle in the range of 80-100 degree with respect to axial direction of ring. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a pressurized fluid device comprising a threaded bore (2) a method for sealing a conically chamfered threaded bore of a pressurized fluid device.
