<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door device which can separate the timing of turning on and off of a light emitter for detecting an obstacle, from the timing of turning on and off of an indication lamp for passengers. <P>SOLUTION: The sliding door device comprises an image-taking device, the light emitter, and a control device. The image-taking device is arranged on an edge part side of a doorway which is opened and closed by horizontal movement of the door. The light emitter arranged on the other edge part facing the edge part of the doorway independently emits a detecting light and a guiding visible light having mutually different wave lengths, toward the edge part side of the doorway. The control device allows the light emitter to turn on and off the detecting light when detecting the obstacle in the doorway by determining whether or not the obstacle exists based on an image taken by the image-taking device, and allows the light emitter to turn on and off the guiding visible light when operation of the door is guided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
