<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus with high reliability for improving freedom in arrangement of a power source switch and operability of the apparatus as well as preventing power supply from being shut off by having the power source switch operated in error during use by a user. <P>SOLUTION: The power source switch for turning on and off the power supply to the image forming apparatus is provided on an inner side of the apparatus than from an opening and closing door. A transparent section is provided on the opening and closing door so that the power source switch can be seen from the outside when the opening and closing door is closed.
