<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus capable of measuring the rotation unevenness of its spindle motor continuously and easily. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The inspection apparatus 10 for inspecting a magnetic disk includes: the spindle motor 1 which rotates the magnetic disk, and generates a predetermined number of pulse signals during one rotation; an oscillation device 4 for generating a reference clock having a predetermined period; a measuring device 3 for measuring the number of reference clock pulses generated while the predetermined number of pulse signals are generated; and an arithmetic operation device 5 for calculating a rotation time interval of the spindle motor 1 a plurality of times, by multiplying the number of reference clock pulses by the period of the reference clock. The operation device 5 calculates the rotation unevenness of the spindle motor 1 by comparing the plurality of acquired rotation time intervals. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
