PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a positional precision in picking up or mounting a component in a rotary head type component holding head.SOLUTION: In the component holding head for the surface-mounted machine, a plurality of spindles are disposed in a circumferential direction of a rotary head which is fitted to a head body in a rotatable manner in an R direction around a vertical axis. a component holder 32 is mounted in a lower end of each of the spindles. By moving the spindle downwards in a Z direction along the axial direction, the component holder mounted in the lower end of the spindle is launched and a component 60 is picked up or mounted. When moving the spindle downwards in the Z direction for launching the component holder, a downward moving action of the spindle in the Z direction and a rotating action of the rotary head in the R direction are overlapped. After the rotating action of the rotary head in the R direction is finished, a downward moving speed of the spindle in the Z direction is fixed and the component holder is launched while keeping the fixed speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
