<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select automatically, as a master device, a Bluetooth (R) device most suitable as the master, which is connected stably to a larger number of devices in a Bluetooth network. <P>SOLUTION: In step 101, each Bluetooth device which is qualified as master obtains connectable device addresses of Bluetooth devices through inquiry. Next, in 105, each Bluetooth device qualified as master obtains evaluation information including the number of discoveries of the device addresses from other Bluetooth devices.
