<p>The present invention provides an alkyd resin comprising of polyols, natural oil polyol and polybasic acid or its anhydrides with a high acid number and a high viscosity and molecular mass. The invention also provides a process for preparing the same thereof and ink formulation comprising the said alkyd resin.</p>
