The present invention relates to an automatic bookmark which is attachable to a page or a cover of a book by using an attaching portion. The automatic bookmark of the present invention can be used in a semi-permanent manner, and is detachable as needed. Another feature of the present invention is that the bookmarking portion and the attaching portion of the automatic bookmark allows for use as an effective advertising device or a memo device.
