<p>Pipe system consists of two pipe lengths with their adjoining ends coupled together, each pipe having an elastomer lining which extends around each adjoining end and is foled back to fit over the external surface of the length, and carries a bowl-shaped coupling element, the coupling element, the coupling elements together providing a channel between the elements in which an annular sealing element lies, while the coupling elements are so held against each other, that the sealing element is presses against the folded back parts of the elastomer lining to form a fluid-tight seal between the two pipe lengths. The folded back part of the lining is pref. cemented to the external surface of the pipe length.</p> |
