<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reader capable of obtaining a high-resolution monochrome image by use of a camera having a color sensor. <P>SOLUTION: This image reader has: the color camera 1 having the color sensor, photographing a document including an area printed with a two-dimensional barcode, and capable of outputting at least three-color pixel signals; an image processing part 4 for the barcode area generating a one-pixel color signal by use of a signal of only a pixel to which each of the pixel signals belongs; an image processing part 5 for a non-barcode area generating a one-pixel color signal by use of the signal of the pixel to which each of the pixel signals belongs and a signal of a pixel around the pixel; and a selector 7 changing over output of the image processing part for the barcode area and the image processing part for the non-barcode area, and outputs it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
