<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of securing sufficient exhaust gas recirculation amount when a catalyst is deteriorated and thereby securely reducing NOx emission amount. <P>SOLUTION: In the control device 1 for the internal combustion engine 3, NOx in exhaust gas is removed by the catalyst 14 and the exhaust gas recirculation amount MEGR recirculating from an exhaust system 10 to an intake system 8 is controlled. The control device 1 for the internal combustion engine 3 is provided with operating condition detection means 2, 20, 28 detecting an operating condition of the internal combustion engine 3, intake amount control means 2, 9a controlling intake amount GTH flowing in the intake system 8 in accordance with the detected operating condition, deteriorating condition detection means 2, 25, 26 detecting a deteriorating condition of the catalyst 14, exhaust gas recirculation amount correction means 2, 6a correcting the exhaust gas recirculation amount MEGR to an increase side when deterioration of the catalyst 14 is detected, and intake amount correction means 2, 9 correcting the intake amount GTH controlled by the intake amount control means 2, 9a to a decrease side in accordance with the corrected exhaust gas recirculation amount MEGR. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
