PURPOSE: A multimedia apparatus is provided to offer advertisement and security services and to operate a monitoring camera by a timer. CONSTITUTION: A multimedia apparatus(20) includes an interface, an output unit, an input unit, a control unit, a printer, an emergency call button, a monitoring camera, a microphone, and a speaker. The interface communicates with at least one among a broadcasting system, an advertisement system, and a security system. The output unit outputs a broadcast signal or an advertisement signal transmitted through the interface. Through the input unit, a user inputs information. The control unit controls functions of the interface unit, output unit, and input unit and provides requested additional services when additional service request is received. The printer includes a paper storage unit storing papers in order to provide a print service which is one of the additional services. The emergency call button can generate an emergency call signal. The monitoring camera can input an image. The microphone can input voice. The speaker can output voice.
