Various configurations of network interface units (340, 348, 352, 360, 366) that are coupleable to or integrated into a hospital bed (10, 159, 314, 342, 362, 364) are also disclosed. The system (12, 110, 112, 312, 372) receives data from the hospital beds (10, 159, 314, 342, 362, 364) and/or other equipment (316, 318) and initiates a communication to a wireless communication device (24, 26, 28, 146, 162, 168) of at least one designated caregiver in response to the received data being indicative of an alarm condition. |
