The invention relates to a method 40 for managing data between a terminal 12 and a token 14. The terminal comprises or accesses to first data storing means 110. The token comprises second data storing means 24. The method comprises a token connecting step in which the token is connected to a host device 16. According to the invention, the method further comprises a data communicating step in which the token communicates 44, 46, 412, 414, 416 with the terminal, through the host device, as an intermediary entity, via a short range radiofrequency link, at least one piece of data originating from, at least in part, either the first or the second data storing means and intended for either the second or the first data storing means respectively. The invention also relates to corresponding token and system.
