FIELD: physics; navigation. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in radio control systems. The result is achieved due to that, characteristic coordinates of a mobile position finder are measured and signals are synchronously received using an antenna array and a multichannel reception device. Radiation energy is measured and converted to an angular spectrum. The angular spectrum is standardised on energy of received signals and converted to an instant spatial spectrum which accumulates for the duration of each radiation with formation of a current spatial spectrum and its recording at the end of the first radiation as the first standard. At the end of the next radiations, the standards are corrected with given limit to their number, arranged in order of reducing maximums and using them as current spatial spectrum, they are converted step-by-step to secondary standards. These standards are corrected with successive increase in the limit of the number from one to the total number of recorded standards. On each step, the increment of the sum of maximums of secondary standards relative the previous step is determined. The obtained increments are compared with a division threshold and the process of converting standards is completed upon the first exceedance. The number and coordinates of transmitters of the radio network is determined as the number and coordinates of maximums of the secondary standards at the moment of completing the process of converting standards, and the instant spatial spectrum is determined based on location of the mobile position finder using a given formula. ^ EFFECT: increased accuracy and reliability of position finding. ^ 4 dwg |
