A method of updating and using geographical data bases in a spatially-distributed hybrid navigation system is characterized in that there provided a reference version of the spatially-distributed the main geographical data base 100 for the coverage zone 101, in which geographical objects are divided to separate content elements and unite into disjoint regional geographical data bases, permanently update reference version of the main geographical data base 100 by independently from each other updating diversity versions of regional geographical data bases 102, informing end users of updating data bases in the interested regions 103, updating the geographical data bases in navigation systems of end users and jointly use one or several regional geographical data bases 100, at least in one application software, implementing navigation functions in end user's navigation systems.
