PURPOSE: A device and method for discriminating an improved room in a WLAN based RTLS are provided to supply information about the location of an asset and room numbers in high accuracy and reliability. CONSTITUTION: At least one ultrasonic transmitter(103) is placed in a predetermined region, and transmits an ultrasonic signal having data with a transmitter ID or region identification information. Plural location receivers are installed in a building. The location receivers record a received tag message and a measurement parameter. A server determines the location and predetermined region of wireless tags(102).
