<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus which can feed a recording medium extremely precisely even if the feeding distance of the recording medium is increased greatly. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Regarding the inkjet recording apparatus having: a recording head H; a recording head moving means to move the recording head H in the main scanning direction; a recording medium feeding means to feed a recording medium P in the sub-scanning direction; and a feeding amount detecting means to detect the driving amount of the recording medium feeding means in the process of moving the recording head H, a mark detected by a mark recording means recording a predetermined mark on the recording medium P by ejecting ink droplets at predetermined timing from at least one of nozzles and moved together with the recording head H is detected, and the feeding amount of the recording medium is determined by a driving amount detected by the feeding amount detecting means on the basis of a position where the mark detecting means detects detection signals.
