STABLE SELF-TANNING COMPOSITIONS IN EMULSION FORM

The invention relates to cosmetic compositions, which give the treated skin a 'natural', long-lasting sun-tan and also exhibit no phase separation or detrimental alteration to colour or smell even at high temperatures (e.g. storage of the bottles in direct sunlight). Said compositions contain between 0.1 and 20 % by weight of at least one tanning active ingredient from the group containing dihydroxyacetone and/or erythrulose and at least one polymeric thickener in the form of an inverse, auto-invertible polymer latex, at least one cyclic silicone, at least one carboxylic acid diester and at least one silicone polymer, selected from silicone rubbers and silicone elastomers, in a suitable cosmetic support.
