PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker helping a user clean a tank and adjust the volume of water in it by placeably/removably providing the tank and allowing the user to prevent failure in setting it as well in the rice cooker that introduces steam generated at heating into the tank housing cooling water to condense it into water. SOLUTION: The rice cooker includes a rice cooker body 2 provided with the first working piece 210 that is placed in a first position at the tank 6 being not set to the body 2 and is shifted from the first position to a second position through a push of the tank 6 at the tank 6 being set to the body 2. In the first position of the piece 210, the piece 210 blocks an outer cover 3 from covering the top of the body 2 to form a closing position by the cover 3 being brought into contact with the piece 210.
