摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device of processing a lens, which reduces processing time and increase productivity in a lathe machining process for an aspheric lens such as a lens for progressive power glasses. SOLUTION: A plurality of unprocessed lenses 3 are attached to a lens holding unit 5, and the lens holding unit 5 is mounted to a rotating shaft 2 of a lathe turning machine 1. A processing tool 4 is used to process the plural lenses 3 at the same time. The processing tool 4 successively grinds or cuts an optical surface of each lens 3 from a direction orthogonal to an axis of the rotating shaft 2 and from an axial direction of the rotating shaft 2 while leaving a processing path concentric or spiral about the rotating shaft 2. The lenses 3 each have the optical surface which is aspheric, and also a regular hexagonal shape, and are held by the lens holding unit 5 and processed so that a geometric center of each lens 3 is apart from a turning center Zo of the processing path of the processing tool 4 and also that the side surfaces of the lenses 3 adjacent to each other are in contact with or close to each other.
