A cigarette package has a box body (8) and a tongue lid (10). In production of the cigarette package, the tongue lid (10) is provided with a top wall (12) for closing the opening end of the box body (8); a tongue (14) superposed on a front wall (30) of the box body (8); and a pair of connection ears (20) connected to opposite side-edges of the tongue (14) via side parting lines (26) and individually adhered to side faces of the box body (8). The side parting lines (26) each have slits (54) arranged at predetermined intervals and also have portions for connecting adjacent slits (59). The portions are formed as fatigue-susceptible joints (60) by applying a load to the portions. |
