PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of and an apparatus for manufacturing an optical film free from any abrasion and high in quality in which any conveying roll need not be changed even if the width of the optical film is changed, any roll slide does not occur, and the optical film manufactured by the manufacturing apparatus. SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of rotatable conveying rolls has a conveyance supporting unit on a circumferential surface in a vicinity of at least one end thereof, and the conveying rolls are moved in the axial direction according to the width of a resin film so that one end of the resin film is brought into contact with the conveyance supporting unit.
