<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an inaccurate operation with a simple configuration without increasing a burden on an operator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: POS terminal equipment includes: a camera 37 which images merchandise unregistered in the POS terminal equipment; a camera 38 which images merchandise already registered in the POS terminal equipment; a detection part 110; an arithmetic part 111; and a decision part 112. The detection part 110 detects that the unregistered merchandise has been taken out by an operator on the basis of the image captured by the camera 37, and detects that new merchandise has been added as registered merchandise on the basis of the image captured by the camera 38. The decision part 112 decides whether or not the merchandise has been registered in the POS terminal equipment by the arithmetic part 111 from the time when the unregistered merchandise is taken out by the operator until the time when the new merchandise is added as the registered merchandise according to monitor data 121 and registration status to be transmitted from the arithmetic part 111.
