<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package filling apparatus that ensures folding along folding lines, prevents distortion, wrinkles, etc., and forms a predetermined shape beautifully and appropriately. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The package filling apparatus obtains a container by sealing and cutting sidewise a tubular packaging material filled with fluid food or the like for each container. In the apparatus, two pairs of preliminarily forming rollers 50a and 50b press from outside a tubular face corresponding to container body sides on which flaps are folded in a direction BB circumferentially perpendicular to the pinching direction AA of a pair of volume flaps 41 on the upstream side (above) of a preliminary forming section.
