The wind power plants have optical and/or data transmission warning devices and the system has a detection device for air space monitoring and a controller for causing the output at least of information signals to at least one object to be warned that is entering the vicinity of the wind power plant using detected data for the airspace monitoring device. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of operating an inventive collision warning system for wind power plants.
