<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generator stably generating positive ions and negative ions. <P>SOLUTION: In the ion generator, each of a dielectric electrode 2 for positive ion generation and a dielectric electrode 3 for negative ion generation is formed as an independent component, and mounted on a substrate 1 individually.
