PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method and device for assembling a workpiece efficiently assembling the workpiece by shortening a time to be a work stopping state between work stations. SOLUTION: In this method and device, the three work stations 1, 2 and 3 are provided. An assembling process is performed at the first work station 1 by an assembling work means 14. A workpiece setting process is performed at the second and third work stations 2 and 3 except the first work station 1. At a point of time when the assembling process is completed at the work station 1, the assembling work means 14 is moved to the second work station 2 where the workpiece setting process is completed.
