PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus, etc. can reduce the power required for the ultrasonic transmission by reducing the time delay in the real-time display of a three-dimensional ultrasonic image, and can improve the irregularity in the quality of receiving beams. SOLUTION: The time delay and the power required for the ultrasonic transmission can be reduced by transmitting continuous ultrasonic waves with modulated frequency to a subject and receiving multi-beams of the obtained reflection waves while demodulating the frequency, so that the three-dimensional ultrasonic image with improved irregularity in the quality of the received beams is displayed in real time. As a method of demodulation, for example, a multi-phase demodulation method for obtaining the distance resolution in the multi-beam receiving by (multi-phase) demodulating the phase of transmission modulation and receiving modulation while changing the phase by range in the range direction (the beam direction) is adopted.
