PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition for oral administration containingβ-phenethylamine derivative is provided to improve stability and solubility of sibutramine free base. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition contains pharmaceutically acceptable excipient and (R)-antipode of sibutramine free base. The pharmaceutical composition contains lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, and magnesium stearate as excipient. The pharmaceutical composition is formulated in a tablet or capsule. A method for producing the pharmaceutical composition comprises: a step of making (R)-sibutramine free base to granule; a step of mixing the granule with lubricant; and a step of filling the mixture inside a capsule.
