PURPOSE: A method of scanning an auto focus is provided to find an optimal auto focus regardless of the increase in the number of total scan steps by moving the lens of the auto focus to the lens position. CONSTITUTION: A lens is moved at a certain step size, and the clarity value of an photographed image is measured with the movement of the lens(S301). The position value of the lens, the position value is calculated(S303). The lens is moved to the position corresponding to the clarity value of the lens(S305). Through the formula of the center of gravity, the position value of the lens is calculated. Therefore, the accurate focusing is performed.
