<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, a screen layout method and a program, for easily changing the layout of GUI components such as character strings and icons on a screen according to a plurality of languages in which character strings are written in different directions. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus for displaying the same information in a plurality of different screen layouts on a display device includes: a language selection detection means for detecting a selected language of character strings to be displayed on the display device, a language direction determination means for determining whether the language detected by the language selection detection means is a first type of language or a second type of language in which character strings are written in different directions, a layout determination means for determining layout information set for GUI components to be displayed on the display device, and a display processing means for displaying the GUI components on the display device according to the result of determination by the language direction determination means and the result of determination by the layout determination means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
