<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crossing gate that brings a crossing to a state allowing passing of road traffic by itself when power supply is stopped, without using a balance weight. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Only by an energizing torque generating mechanism generating rising side energizing torque energizing crossing rod 5 to a rising side by the elastic energy of two sets of torsion coil springs 6a, 6b, when the power supply of driving power of the crossing rod is stopped, the crossing rod is raised to a vertical position. The spring 6a always keeps the rising size energizing torque, and meanwhile, the other spring 6b does not keep torque at the vertical position of the crossing rod, so that while necessary rising side energizing torque is obtained, the energizing torque can be easily adjusted by moving a movable action point 10m.
