<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric fan having high blast efficiency by preventing or reducing a circulating flow generated near a front face shroud and to provide a vacuum cleaner using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The circulating flow returning from an exhaust opening 37 to an intake opening 30 of an impeller 25 is prevented by bringing a fan case spacer 35 shaped integrally with a fan case 34 in contact with an intake opening 30 side of the front face shroud 27 to seal, and the circulating flow generated near the exhaust opening 37 is prevented by narrowing a gap g between a discharge opening 37 side of the front face shroud 27 and the fan case spacer 35, so that the blast efficiency can be improved.
