<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device of a door, reduced in the number of components. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this locking device of the door, a first case for an operation member is internally mounted on the vertical free edge side of the door; a second case with a latch is internally mounted on the horizontal edge side of the door; a first actuation member having a rotary piece positionally displaced by a predetermined amount by an operating force of the operation member, and a connecting means comprising a vertical guide cylinder and a connecting piece guided with the vertical guide cylinder and connected to the rotary piece, are each incorporated into the first case; and one bar-like interlocking rod is slidably fitted into the vertical guide cylinder on the side of the first case and into the vertical guide cylinder internally provided on the front side of the second case.
