The invention provides a method of treatment or prophylaxis of Calicivirus infection, comprising administering a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound selected from the group of compounds consisting of interferon-alpha (IFN-a), interferon-gamma (IFN-?), honokiol, magnolol, ribavirin, z-guggulsterone, and a combination thereof and a pharmaceutically-acceptable carrier to a patient having a Calicivirus infection, or at risk for becoming infected with a Calicivirus.
