METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SHAPING HAIR

The present invention relates to hair styling devices and methods for shaping and styling hair. One aspect of the invention provides a hair shaping device (1) including a body (2) having a pair of oppositely directed surfaces (3) and a curved web portion (8), interconnecting the peripheral edges of the surfaces. The body includes a pair of curvilinearly extending end portions (5, 6) each located at respective ends of an elongate stem portion (7). The hair shaping device also includes a retaining means engageable with hook portions (13, 14) on the body (2) for securing hair to the body of the device. Another aspect of the invention provides a method of shaping hair by the application of such a device.
